Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as a Fractional CHRO?

No. A Fractional CHRO typically oversees broader human resources responsibilities, such as workforce strategy, compliance, recruiting, compensation, policies, and HR operations.
A Parkyn Group Fractional Leadership Advisor focuses specifically on strengthening leaders, developing managers, improving leadership team effectiveness, reinforcing skill application, and helping the organization measure leadership progress.

Is the partnership based on a number of hours?

No. The partnership is structured around agreed leadership priorities, responsibilities, and a defined operating cadence rather than a bank of consulting hours.
Each agreement clearly identifies the advisory days, sponsor conversations, coaching sessions, preparation, follow-up, and access included in the partnership.

Is the work onsite or virtual?

The partnership may include both onsite and virtual work.
Observation, leadership team meetings, facilitation, and Real-Time Individualized Coaching may benefit from onsite involvement. Executive coaching, sponsor conversations, planning, and follow-up can often be conducted virtually. The appropriate balance is established at the beginning of the engagement.

How long is the initial partnership?

The initial Fractional Leadership Advisory Partnership is typically six months.
That provides enough time to understand the organization, identify leadership priorities, support leaders as they apply new behaviors, evaluate progress, and determine the next stage of development.

How is progress measured?

Progress is measured against the priorities established in the Leadership Activation Plan. Evidence may include observable changes in leadership behavior, executive sponsor feedback, employee or manager input, coaching outcomes, assessment results, and relevant business measures.
Parkyn Group provides the strategy, development, coaching, feedback, and measurement. Sustainable results also depend on the organization’s participation, reinforcement, application, and follow-through.

How is travel handled?

The anticipated onsite schedule is defined in the partnership agreement.
Routine local travel may be included. When airfare, lodging, ground transportation, or other destination travel is required, those expenses are approved in advance and billed at actual cost without markup.
